Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, or related technical field is preferred.
Experience with aerospace, fastening, or precision manufacturing processes preferred.
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Root cause Analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and continuous improvements preferred
Experience with CAD software and manufacturing information systems is preferred.
Technical knowledge: Manufacturing engineering, corrective actions, process validation and manufacturing readiness, capital project management, engineering drawing and CAD systems

Howmet Fastening Systems is seeking a Production Supervisor- Quality, 2nd Shift for our Fullerton, CA site.
Summary:
Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Supervisor provides leadership for Quality Operations to ensure products, processes, and inspection activities consistently meet customer, regulatory, and company requirements. This position partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to promote a culture of quality, drive continuous improvement, support operational excellence, and ensure compliance with the Howmet Business System
Essential Functions:
Lead and develop Quality personnel thorough coaching, performance management, employee development, and career progress
Establish quality objectives in partnership with the Quality Manager and ensure achievement of departmental performance metrics.
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Direct quality inspection, testing, calibration, and verification activities to ensure compliance with customer, engineering, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee Final Inspection, Receiving Inspection, Calibration, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Source Inspection, and other quality functions.
Ensure appropriate inspection methods, calibration processes, and testing procedures are effectively implemented and maintained.
Review engineering documentation to verify inspection requirements and quality methodologies.
Lead investigation of quality issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
Develop and improve quality control methods that enhance product quality, process capability, and customer satisfaction.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Howmet Business System, Lean Manufacturing principles, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
Analyze quality performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and reduce defects.
Partner with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Materials, Shipping & Receiving, and Manufacturing leadership to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
Support manufacturing operations by providing timely quality decisions and technical guidance.
Participate in production review meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational objectives.
Manage staffing, scheduling, overtime, vacations, and daily timekeeping for assigned employees.
Develop workforce capability through training, qualification management, cross-training, and employee development.
Ensure employees comply with Howmet policies, quality procedures, and applicable labor requirements.
Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor to coach employees, monitor quality performance, and reinforce quality expectations.
Promote and maintain a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
Perform all duties in accordance with customer, regulatory, and company quality standards.
Provides leadership for assigned Quality personnel, including workforce planning, employee selection, onboarding, coaching, performance management, employee development, career progress, employee engagement, and corrective actions in accordance with Howmet policies and applicable employment laws.
Partners with Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing leadership to build a high-performing quality organization that supports operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
