The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of production and operating employees within a foundry manufacturing environment. This position provides day-to-day leadership to the manufacturing team while supporting production, quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
Candidates must have the flexibility to support any shift based on operational needs.
Work Site: SMCO – Foundry Operation
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production and operating employees.
Provide leadership and direction to manufacturing personnel to support production goals and operational requirements.
Recommend and implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and overall efficiency.
Review manufacturing operations and collaborate with technical and administrative personnel to resolve production or processing issues.
Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems.
Analyze production, quality, and maintenance data to identify and address manufacturing problems.
Hire, train, evaluate, and manage production staff.
Address employee concerns and resolve personnel-related issues as appropriate.
Prepare and maintain production reports, personnel records, and other required documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong leadership and supervisory skills within a manufacturing environment.
Strong verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and effectively manage time.
Knowledge of raw materials, manufacturing processes, quality control, and techniques used to maximize production efficiency.
Knowledge of manufacturing machinery and equipment, including operation, maintenance, and repair principles.
Ability to understand technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and related manufacturing documentation.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve production issues.
Flexibility to support any shift as required.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree in Business or a related field preferred.
8–10 years of relevant manufacturing experience required.
Previous experience leading or supervising a manufacturing team strongly preferred.
