Job Details

The Production Supervisor is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations on 1st shift. This individual will lead and develop a production team to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and production targets are consistently met or exceeded. The role requires a hands-on leader who can manage people, equipment, and processes in a fast-paced, process-driven manufacturing environment.

This position partners closely with cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Supply Chain, Quality, Human Resources, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to ensure smooth production flow and operational excellence.

Core responsibilities include supervising production staff, managing shift schedules and staffing levels, monitoring KPIs, enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and driving continuous improvement initiatives on the floor.

Required Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required (associate degree or technical certification preferred)
Minimum 1+ year of experience in a lead, supervisory, or production leadership role
Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process-driven environment
Strong understanding of safety standards (PPE, EHS compliance)
Ability to lead, coach, and hold teams accountable in a production setting
Basic proficiency in math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages)
Strong communication skills (verbal and written English)
Ability to interpret SOPs, instructions, and production documentation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and/or ERP/MRP systems
Ability to work onsite and support a 1st shift schedule

Preferred Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
Experience in high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environments
Prior exposure to KPI tracking, production reporting, and operational metrics
Experience with MRP/ERP systems in a manufacturing setting
Background in continuous improvement or lean manufacturing practices
Strong track record of team development and performance coaching
Experience coordinating across departments (maintenance, supply chain, quality, HR)
Familiarity with equipment-heavy or system-controlled production environments
