The Production Supervisor is responsible for hiring, training, communication of staffing and operational needs, and performance management of production and support personnel on 2nd shift. This position schedules and oversees production activity, usually through a group of lead operators, and is accountable for implementing process improvements, maintaining a safe and productive workforce, and supporting product quality. The Production Supervisor also coordinates cross-functionally with maintenance, quality, and engineering to support plant goals.
This position is assigned to 2nd shift, with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Candidates must be available to work this shift.
Responsibilities:
Ensure and enforce plant safety regulations, regulatory controls, policies, and procedures
Lead high-speed manufacturing activity and maintain a high level of equipment uptime
Hire, develop, train, and monitor production, technical, and support personnel
Run Tier meetings and Leader Standard Work, ensure action items are assigned, followed up, and closed
Manage timecards, payroll-related issues, attendance, formal problem solving, and the disciplinary process in accordance with Rain Bird policy
