Description
- Lead and supervise production personnel on first shift within a designated manufacturing area.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Coordinate staffing, resources, and production activities to achieve business objectives.
- Monitor production schedules and workflow to meet customer demand and delivery targets.
- Track key performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve operational challenges.
- Support and drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure accurate production documentation and system transactions.
- Develop, coach, mentor, and evaluate team members to maximize performance and engagement.
- Facilitate effective communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution across teams.
- Lead productivity improvement projects and support capital investment initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, diversity, safety, and continuous learning.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, manufacturing, or business-related discipline preferred.
- Equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will also be considered.
- 3+ years of manufacturing leadership experience with increasing responsibility.
- Experience supervising production teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Medical device, regulated manufacturing, or similar industry experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, drawings, and operational procedures.
- Proven leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Results-driven approach with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
