    Production Supervisor (Weekend 2nd Shift)

    Location: Ripon, Wisconsin (Onsite)

    Industry: Consumer Goods / Manufacturing

    Experience Level: Mid-Level (5+ years experience)

    Education: Bachelors degree preferred

    Salary:$75,000 – $85,000 per year + shift differential

    About the Opportunity

    Our client, a high-volume manufacturing organization, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring safety and quality standards, and supporting the development of production team members.

    This is a Weekend 2nd Shift role (Friday–Sunday, 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM), with occasional additional days as needed.

    A monthly shift differential is provided for this schedule.

    Key Responsibilities

    Safety & Compliance

    • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across the production floor
    • Conduct safety audits and participate in incident and root-cause investigations
    • Ensure proper training, PPE use, and adherence to safety procedures

    Team Leadership & Development

    • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to operators and technicians
    • Foster a respectful, inclusive, and performance-driven work environment
    • Support attendance management, conduct, and employee relations matters
    • Collaborate with union representatives when required

    Production Operations

    • Supervise daily activities within a high-volume manufacturing environment
    • Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are met
    • Optimize manpower, workflow, and machine utilization
    • Troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime

    Continuous Improvement

    • Lead and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives such as 5S and Kaizen
    • Analyze downtime, scrap, and bottlenecks and implement improvements
    • Partner with quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to enhance efficiency

    Reporting & Collaboration

    • Maintain production, quality, and safety records
    • Report KPIs and operational metrics to management
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues quickly

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment
    • Manufacturing supervision experience, preferably in stamping press operations
    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
    • Demonstrated leadership and team development skills

    Preferred:

    • Bachelors degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations
    • Experience with ERP, MES, or production reporting systems
    • Exposure to unionized manufacturing environments

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand for extended periods
    • Frequent bending, stooping, and manual dexterity
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary
