Job Description:

Production Support Analyst (FICC Risk)

Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 11 Months

Role Overview

We are seeking a Production Support Analyst for a second-shift role within a high-pressure trading environment. This position involves supporting FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities) Risk for all Markets lines of business. The ideal candidate will be a proficient problem-solver who can assimilate information from multiple sources, adhere to strict procedures for incident and change management, and work effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for business requests and reported system impacts.
  • Monitor and respond to alerts for critical trading system environments.
  • Manage release implementations and conduct post-release testing.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with business stakeholders, application development teams, and infrastructure contacts.
  • Troubleshoot complex systems issues and coordinate restoration efforts for high-impact incidents.
  • Proactively identify and resolve recurring problem hotspots.
  • Develop tools and drive improvements to enhance system efficiency and stability.
  • Lead daily technical change meetings, managing global resources through the change process.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with operating systems such as Solaris, Linux, and Windows.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including Unix Shell, Perl, or Python.
  • Intermediate SQL skills, including multi-table joins and grouping results.
  • Understanding of grid computing, batch management, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure disciplines like network, server, storage, and messaging.
  • Experience with incident, problem, and release management processes.

Professional Skills:

  • Proven ability to rationalize the impact of multiple concurrent issues and prioritize work accordingly.
  • Experience supporting traders or working in a front-office trading environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Independent motivation to continuously improve personal skills and the work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with report generation and analysis tools such as Tableau.
  • Knowledge of ITRS Enterprise monitoring tools.
