Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Support Engineer to support the manufacturing of complex defense electro-mechanical products by maintaining work instructions, routings, and bills of materials (BOMs). This role drives process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and manufacturability while collaborating across teams to solve technical challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Duties:
  • Provided technical support and troubleshooting for production floor operations, resolving manufacturing and assembly issues while minimizing downtime.
  • Developed and maintained assembly work instructions, routings, and bills of materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate, compliant manufacturing documentation.
  • Led continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles to enhance quality, efficiency, and reduce production costs.
  • Researched, implemented, and supported tooling, equipment, and process improvements to optimize manufacturing performance and new product introductions.
  • Collaborated cross-functionally with engineering, quality, production, supply chain, and program teams to support manufacturing objectives and assist with labor and material estimates.

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering or production support experience; electro-mechanical and defense industry experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, work instructions, BOMs, routings, documentation control, ERP systems, and CAD software.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics, troubleshoot issues, and lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
