Intralox LLC has an opening for an Engineering Supervisor to work in the ThermoDrive Engineering Department based in Harahan, LA. The Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for setting team goals, KPIs, and individual goals to progress global production support initiatives forward. Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities

• Scope and Concept development • Understand the problem and help define the scope • Understand what additional value could be brought from the project • Understand the big picture, does not work in a silo • Works closely with our stakeholders throughout the project to ensure we are meeting their needs

• Mechanical design of systems and subsystems • Facilitates design reviews of their designs • Participates in brainstorming sessions and the design reviews of others • Take ownership of projects through all stages-design, functional requirements, prototype development, validation, and manufacturability • Develop detailed parts, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline • 7 years of mechanical engineering experience • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in machine design and/or working on a production line • Strong mechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach to engineering • Solid Modeling, CAD, and EPDM workspace experience • Must have demonstrated aptitude for creative problem solving and innovation • Self-managed and strong sense of ownership and follow-through • Confident and clear communicator, both written and verbal • Great attitude and excellent team player • Microsoft Office expertise • People skills, presentations, training, customer visits, gathering feedback, etc. • Willingness to take appropriate risks with an 80/20 phase solution mindset • Able to delegate technical tasks with clear expectations, responsibilities, and ownership • Able to hold self and team accountable for deliverables • Able to coach for professional development • Willingness to implement a fail-fast mindset and take appropriate risks

Desired Qualifications

• Proficiency with SolidWorks • 7 years of mechanical engineering experience • Background in machine design and/or automation systems (a plus) • Experience with or knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) • Direct mechanical trade experience (Machinist, HVAC, Mechanic, Construction, Furniture, or Cabinet Making, etc.) • Local resident or relocation to the greater New Orleans area
