Support the front end or packaging end of the shingle production line to maintain efficient safety, quality, and production. The employee will also make contributions to reduce all types of waste from the production process.
Shift: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd - must be flexible
Compensation: $22.79/hour, plus shift differential
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Must know how to operate the following positions: Take Off, Wrapper, Laminator, and the CTL/Cutter.
+ Manage time to give 3 of 20 minutes to all the above-mentioned jobs, including time for own break.
+ Fill in Utility, Take Off, Wrapper, Laminator, and the CTL/Cutter Positions for breaks as applicable, vacation, day-offs, call-ins, or as directed by supervision
+ Ability to train others as directed by supervision.
+ Assist in the thread-up process of the Line from the Unwind station to the Laminator.
+ Assist Front End Operators with tasks supporting their positions.
+ Perform product changeover.
+ Empty waste tubs, hoppers, cans, and any other containers in assigned area if needed and/or at shift end.
+ Participate in continuous improvement projects and teams as assigned.
+ Report all quality-related issues to the Line Supervisor.
+ Maintain quality service
+ Must remain at station and assume housekeeping duties during downtime for an extended amount of time unless otherwise directed by the Supervisor
+ Follow all safety training and documents for this site
+ Maintain 5-S standards and housekeeping.
+ Ensure optimum operations of equipment by reporting needed Maintenance.
+ Meet the department’s key objectives and participate in Company Safety program
+ Must understand and follow job specific SOP’s
+ Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned consistent with the non-exempt functions

+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ 3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Must be forklift certified
+ Any appropriate combination of academic and work experience
+ Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions in English.
+ Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
+ Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees at all levels of the organization.
+ Ability to recognize the quality expected and be able to reproduce it.
+ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
+ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
+ Must maintain a positive rating as described in the training/qualification evaluation record as Front-End Support.
+ Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance
