The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who can resolve issues with urgency, manage change implementation, and continuously seek process improvements in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, track, and control the progress of production orders to ensure on-time completion.
  • Ensure that changes to production orders are correctly implemented and reflected in all relevant systems and documentation.
  • Verify that production orders are fully documented, completed, and signed off accurately.
  • Issue materials and assemblies to production orders as required to support scheduled builds.
  • Ensure that all required manufacturing documents, job and tooling information, equipment, parts, and related resources are available at the appropriate workstations before each build.
  • Report manufacturing progress to all relevant stakeholders, particularly when issues or delays arise, and provide clear status updates by product.
  • Identify, propose, and drive alternative solutions in the event of problems or production difficulties to minimize disruption.
  • Control and oversee the factory implementation and cut-in of engineering and process changes, ensuring proper coordination and timing.
  • Work closely with production floor, engineering, quality, and warehouse personnel to ensure redlined material and component changes during builds are properly documented and managed in SAP.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production control, production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve daily workflow issues and remove bottlenecks.
  • Monitor job flow and velocity through the production line, partnering with production control to ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and support the implementation of more efficient workflows and practices.
  • Perform data entry and administrative tasks related to production planning, inventory control, and documentation management.
  • Support customer service and production support activities by responding to internal requests and resolving issues promptly.
  • Assist with inventory management, including material handling and inventory control, to ensure accurate stock levels for production needs.
  • Utilize ERP systems, particularly SAP, to manage production planning, material movements, and related transactions.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned to support overall production and operational objectives.

  • Proven ability to work with multiple teams across the organization to resolve issues and production stoppages with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work well with others, follow directions, execute tasks swiftly, identify process improvement opportunities, and solve problems effectively.
  • Experience monitoring job flow and velocity through the production line and partnering with production control to ensure timely completion.
  • Strong hands-on approach with excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail, combined with a drive to solve daily operational challenges.
  • Ability to understand bills of materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, parts lists, and factory flow.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, particularly in a production, inventory, or ERP context.
  • Strong skills in MS Office, especially MS Excel, along with experience using databases and SharePoint.
  • Experience in planning and scheduling activities within a production or supply chain environment.
  • Ability to handle customer service, planning, inventory, data entry, administrative assistance, supply chain, material handling, inventory control, production planning, and production support tasks as needed.
  • Capability to thrive in integrated, multi-functional teams of diverse individuals and to contribute beyond formal job titles or descriptions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and improvement, with a willingness to adopt relevant technologies even outside traditional industry domains.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

  • Extensive relevant work experience in lieu of a degree is considered valuable, particularly experience related to composite materials and processes.
  • Knowledge of ITAR/EAR regulations is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems beyond SAP is helpful for broader production and inventory management.
  • Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced production environments where priorities can shift quickly.
  • Interest in and alignment with a culture that values shared vision, passion for operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.
