Introduction
We are seeking a highly motivated and self-managing individual to join our production support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Hadoop and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently in a dynamic environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong Unix skills, including proficiency in Bash scripting commands.
- Solid SQL language skills.
- Hadoop production support experience in a DevOps environment.
- Experience or exposure to Spark development, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Strong data and code analysis skills, including troubleshooting data quality/integrity and root cause analysis.
- Prior work experience at the client or in the client's industry.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Decent Java skills are a huge bonus.
- Decent Python skills are a bonus.
- Automated testing experience with Cucumber skills would be a huge bonus.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Self-manage work in a production support environment.
- Take initiative to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
- Identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
- Comfortable with bringing attention to risks before they become issues.
- Comfortable with leading small efforts and working with all levels of management.
