Job Summary
LINAK is seeking a motivated and results-driven
Production Team Leader to lead daily operations on our production floor. This role is responsible for setting the tone, attitude, and work culture within the manufacturing environment while leading a team of assemblers to successfully achieve production goals related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Employee Engagement.
The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for developing employees while driving continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing and 6S principles.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Leadership
- Lead daily production cell activities to achieve productivity and efficiency goals.
- Assign work based on production demand and employee training needs.
- Support employee development and communicate performance or disciplinary concerns to leadership.
- Complete daily production reporting, performance tracking, and documentation.
- Coordinate work order administration and related paperwork.
- Troubleshoot production issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Provide leadership coverage for other Team Leaders as needed.
Quality & Process Improvement
- Ensure compliance with standardized work instructions and quality standards.
- Support production training initiatives and verify training documentation.
- Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve production and supplier quality issues.
- Assist with process improvements and corrective actions.
Safety, Lean & 6S
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure completion of all required safety training.
- Lead 6S initiatives and workplace organization efforts.
- Conduct routine audits and reinforce Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's Degree in a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of manufacturing experience required.
- Previous manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Technical aptitude and ability to understand manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Goal-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Schedule
3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 9:30 PM - 6:30 AM
Training Period: New hires will spend approximately the first month on 1st or 2nd shift for onboarding and training.
