Description

Overview:

Reporting to the Production Group Leader (Supervisor), the Team Leader will support approximately 5-10 team members on a production work team.  The Team Leader will utilize leader standard work to coach, develop and build capabilities of team members. 

 

Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities: 

Primary duties: 

  • Assimilate and train new team members within their area/zone. 
  • Communicate safety news, quality findings, human resources updates and line rate/goals to team in daily pre-shift meeting. 
  • Ensure all team members are following safety procedures.  Obtain proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for team members when necessary. 
  • Work with team members to generate and support ideas for Continuous Improvement.  Keep a mindset of Continuous Improvement in everything you do.  
  • Hold team members accountable for adherence to standardized work and safety guidelines. 
  • Escalate any production issues/systemic problems to Group Leaders. 
  • Maintain shift-to-shift communications with other Team Leaders and Group Leaders. 
  • Update and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and other metrics for area/zone. 
Qualifications:

What You Need To Succeed: 

  • Prior experience leading others in a work or volunteer capacity. 
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes is preferred. 
  • Must possess a genuine people-centric mentality and a heart for servant leadership. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving and troubleshooting ability. 
  • Proven leadership capabilities. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
