Production Team Supervisor — Assembly & Automation

What you will drive

  • Translate daily production requirements into clear assignments and staffing plans.
  • Maintain seamless communication across shifts and with cross-functional partners.
  • Own process quality: react to abnormalities, troubleshoot effectively, and verify fixes.
  • Develop and track countermeasures for unplanned downtime (DT), quality gaps, KPI misses, and safety concerns.
  • Keep work instructions and procedures up to date; ensure consistent execution to VWI.
  • Coach, train, and develop team members; recommend additional training where needed.
  • Lead or support additional projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications and experience

  • Leadership experience and structured problem-solving capability.
  • Effective communicator; team-oriented; improvement-driven.
  • Exposure to robotics and automation preferred.
  • Continuous improvement participation.
  • Manufacturing environment experience.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Hands-on: soldering skills; warehouse and packaging experience.

Physical demands

  • Stand, walk, sit, handle objects, climb stairs, and reach during the shift.
  • Lift/move 10–30 lbs periodically.
  • Vision requirements: close, color, peripheral, distance, depth, and focus for inspection.
  • Ability to travel by car or air.

Authority

  • Lead and participate in corrective actions.
  • Partner with Supervisor on team member placement.
  • Stop production for safety or quality concerns.
  • Submit and implement process/equipment/software changes with prior approval.
