What You'll Be Doing
You'll work Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, coordinating with the branch manager to meet company targets, support employee development, and optimize daily operations. As your team cuts and assembles hydraulic hoses, you'll ensure they follow all safety procedures, company protocols, customer requirements, and quality standards.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Leading activities in all production areas and coordinating schedules to ensure full coverage
- Maintaining accurate records and databases
- Identifying recurring quality/productivity issues and solving these problems to improve daily efficiency
- Taking active steps to minimize non-conformances and prevent bottlenecks
- Allocating labor, materials, and equipment to optimize daily workflows and productivity
- Managing (directly and indirectly) the material procurement process
- Assisting with additional responsibilities as assigned
Team Leadership & Development:
- Performing time management studies to identify areas for improvement and optimize daily productivity
- Maintaining a sense of urgency for the team to ensure they achieve quality targets, delivery timelines, and profitability goals
- Providing timely encouragement, constructive feedback, quality coaching, and comprehensive training to your direct reports
- Empowering your team to excel and meet company goals
- Building positive working relationships with managers, customers, internal teams, and external partners
- Participating in strategic planning meetings
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience related to business, engineering, mechanics, fluid power manufacturing, and/or quality control management
- 3+ years of leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Familiarity with Lean and/or Six Sigma principles
- Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel proficiency
- Ability to type 25+ wpm
- Ability to diagnose and solve mechanical issues
- Ability to troubleshoot and work on fluid power systems
- Ability to train others in procedural, safety, and quality standards
- Ability to safely lift 40+ lbs. using proper lifting techniques
- Empathetic, respectful, and calm personality
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Our ideal Production Team Supervisor has their forklift certification and has completed an OSHA 30-hour course. First Aid, CPR, and BBP certifications would also be preferred.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Comfort with technology and learning new applications/approaches
- Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of how tools and machines interact with each other
- Solid judgement and decision-making skills, even while under pressure
- Multitasking and time management skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to use tape measures and digital calipers
