Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Production Tech - Level 2. This role involves both production and field operations, contributing to innovative mosquito rearing and release projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in automation, operations, production, or related field is optional but preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team in a fast-paced environment with changing demands.
- Physically fit to perform manual work. Able to carry out repetitive job activities over a period of time.
- Strong communication skills.
- Prior work experience in a similar field or industry.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in catering and service work.
- Ability to drive a vehicle.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain automated mosquito rearing and sex sorting systems.
- Flag issues and provide feedback.
- Assemble parts for automated mosquito rearing systems.
- Follow and carry out protocols of key workstreams including egg production, mosquito larval prepping, larval rearing, and sex sorting.
- Conduct trapping and surveillance, and post-trapping species identification.
- Arrange for vehicle logistics including maintenance, servicing, and regular checks of release and transport van.
- Follow a schedule of field release of reared mosquitoes at release sites.
- Conduct community engagement with residents around mosquito field trials, following guidelines.
