Job Title: Production Technician

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Sterling Engineering is partnered with a growing manufacturing organization seeking a Production Technician to join their team in Addison, IL. This is a hands-on opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment and take pride in producing high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing or warehouse experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate production machinery and equipment, including pneumatic presses, wire cutters, and spoolers.
- Perform assembly and production tasks using hand tools and power tools.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met and report any defects or concerns.
- Support material movement throughout the facility and assist with inventory handling activities.
- Operate forklifts as needed to transport materials and finished goods.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, factory, or warehouse environment required.
- Familiarity with assembly line processes and manufacturing operations.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
