About the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Production Technicians for a leading paper manufacturing company in Becker, MN. In this role, you’ll help operate and maintain production equipment to ensure quality output. What You’ll Do as a Production Technician:- Inspect equipment and controls to spot issues, hazards, or needed repairs
- Clean, maintain, and repair machinery using hand tools or by submitting maintenance work orders
- Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) on equipment
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks such as eyewash checks, fire extinguisher inspections, and dust bag removal
- Assist with machine threading during paper breaks
- Document shift information and communicate with supervisors and incoming operators
- Help train team members to support production, quality, and machine uptime
- Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, roll clamps, bale clamps, and skid steers
- Monitor the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) including chemical refills, sludge removal, and filter changes
- Move and stage paper rolls using RF scanners for accurate tracking
- Operate cranes and hoists to move spools and rolls
- Manage spools including cleaning and rotation
- Handle wastepaper and materials using skid steers and choppers
- Prepare rolls for production and load them into the turret unwind system
- Assist with coating prep and cleanup including mixing coatings and washing totes
What You Need to Bring to the Production Technician Role:- Must have 1–3 years of manufacturing experience in the last 5 years
- Must have the ability to work rotating 12?hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be Comfort using hand and power tools
- Mobile equipment and overhead crane certification is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Strong problem?solving abilities and attention to detail
