Production Technician
Job Location: Fairfield, California
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Pay Rate: $22-$23/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 6am-2:30pm (day), 2pm-10:30pm (swing), or 10:30pm - 6am (grave)
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Production Technician or have a strong mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing? Our client is seeking dependable Production Technicians to join their production team. This entry level role supports senior technicians in the manufacturing department while learning machine operation, quality standards, safety procedures, and production processes.
Three shifts are available: Day, Swing, and Graveyard.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable following detailed instructions, and interested in building experience in a manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Learn to set up and operate machinery used to manufacture materials
- Troubleshoot minor production-related issues and escalate equipment concerns
- Maintain attention to detail to help ensure products meet established quality standards
- Learn and follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials
- Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Supporting loading and unloading of materials and products
- Work collaboratively with senior technicians, Leads, Supervisor, and other production team members
Description of Company:
You will be supporting a well-established manufacturing company in Fairfield, California.
Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 3 months of composites or production experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Basic math and computer skills required
- Ability to convert grams to pounds
- Dependable and safety conscious with excellent attendance
- Willingness and ability to work overtime, weekends, and off shifts as needed
