Job Description

Job Summary:

The Cleanroom Technician is responsible for the assembly, inspection, and testing of infrared (IR) camera systems in a controlled cleanroom environment. This role ensures high-quality product output by following strict process controls, cleanliness standards, and detailed work instructions.

This is a third shift position from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM Monday's through Friday's. For the first months, 3rd shift new hires may need to train during the 1st shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM before moving to the 3rd shift.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform precision assembly of infrared camera components, including optics, sensors, and mechanical housings

  • Execute functional and environmental testing of IR camera systems per defined procedures

  • Inspect components and finished assemblies using microscopes and metrology tools to ensure quality standards are met

  • Follow detailed work instructions, travelers, and engineering documentation with high accuracy

  • Maintain strict adherence to cleanroom protocols (gowning, contamination control, ESD handling)

  • Record production data, test results, and non-conformances accurately in manufacturing systems (e.g., Camstar or equivalent)

  • Identify defects or process deviations and escalate issues to engineering or supervisory staff

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to yield, throughput, and quality

  • Assist with equipment setup, calibration checks, and routine maintenance

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred

  • 1-3+ years of experience in cleanroom assembly, electronics manufacturing, or optical/mechanical assembly

  • Experience working with small components and precision tools (tweezers, torque drivers, microscopes)

  • Familiarity with electrostatic discharge (ESD) and contamination control practices

  • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and specifications

  • Basic computer skills for data entry and manufacturing systems

  • Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Must be able to use a microscope up to 8 hours a day

Salary Range:

$50,600.00-$67,500.000
