Duties & Responsibilities:
Job Summary
As a Production Test Technician at Viavi Solutions Inc., you will be responsible for performing a variety of tests and inspections on optical and electronic components and systems, ensuring product quality and adherence to specifications before shipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute defined test procedures on various optical and electronic products and sub-assemblies using specialized test equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting and fault isolation to the component level on failed units, utilizing schematics, block diagrams, and other technical documentation.
- Record and document test results accurately in the designated manufacturing execution systems (MES) and databases.
- Identify and report product defects, anomalies, and recurring issues to engineering and quality assurance teams.
- Collaborate with production and engineering staff to implement corrective actions and process improvements.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards within the production environment.
- Assist in the training of new technicians on test procedures and equipment operation.
Job Qualifications
