Westaff is Hiring for Summer Production Temps in Wallingford, CT!
Shifts: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd!
Pay Rate: $25-$30 an hour
Performing equipment cleaning, filter changeouts, and general workplace organization. This position ensures production equipment remains clean, safe, and ready for operation, helping reduce downtime for the operator and maintaining an efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Clean process equipment, including filter presses, pumps, piping, and packaging areas, following SOPs, SDS guidelines, and CIP procedures.
- Perform filter maintenance: disassembly, media replacement, inspections, and post-change checks.
- Assist with material handling, raw material charging, product transfers, and packaging tasks.
- Maintain 5S standards by keeping work areas clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Stage consumables, replenish PPE and cleaning supplies, and report shortages.
- Document cleaning activities, filter changeouts, and batch record entries accurately.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including proper PPE use and hazardous waste handling.
Qualifications:
- Experience in equipment cleaning, industrial housekeeping, or filter changeouts preferred; training provided.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow written procedures.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, bending, and kneeling.
