Job Opportunity

ATI is currently seeking a Production Worker for our Atomizer department in the Oakdale PA facility.

In this position you are an essential part of the atomization process which involves the formation of powder from molten metal using of high-pressure inert gas. The powder metal will go through several steps before it is turned back into a solid making it a stronger more durable material that will be utilized in aerospace nuclear and national defense applications.

Responsibilities

This position requires:

• Mechanical aptitude
• Accurate measuring
• Utilization of hand and power tools efficiently while operating the atomizing unit
• Preparation of the melt chamber equipment
• Charging furnace
• Monitoring heat chemistries
• Preparation of liquid pour for atomizing

To be successful in this role you will need:

• A strong attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with basic computer applications
• Ability to work well independently and with a team

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain all equipment
• Weigh out raw materials and oversize powder to meet required product chemistry
• Prepare heats efficiently and accurately to promote continuous atomization
• Perform multiple refractory tasks
• Thoroughly clean assemble inspect and install all equipment required for melt preparation
• Verify all equipment and materials are ready for atomization including documentation review
• Perform removal and installation of the furnace into the melt chamber including digging out grouting and installing blanket and ground fault
