The Production Worker plays a crucial role in the efficient and safe operation of the processing and handling facility. This position involves executing tasks related to maintenance, operations, safety compliance, and quality assurance to support the facility's daily operations.
This position is a union position and successful candidate must join the union after 30 days of employment.
Candidate must be able to work the following shift
Shift A: 1:00 AM - 9:30 AM
Shift C: 4:30 PM - 1:00 AM
Maintenance and Operations
Execute tasks related to the maintenance and upkeep of production equipment and machinery.
Participate in the execution of the preventative maintenance program, including inspections and observations of equipment, to ensure equipment functionality and safety.
Assist in regular maintenance activities to keep equipment in good repair.
Ensure the facility operates efficiently and safely by promptly addressing any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions.
Safety Compliance
Adhere to all Federal, State, and Local regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Participate in safety meetings and contribute to location inspections to identify and address safety hazards.
Follow established safety protocols and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure the well-being of all employees.
Quality Assurance
Assist in maintaining food quality culture and facility cleanliness and sanitation according to established standards.
Follow documentation practices accurately to support quality assurance efforts.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participate in training sessions to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Operations Support
Support daily operations by efficiently managing tasks such as receiving and shipping products using forklift.
Collaborate with team members to establish guidelines for cleaning equipment and monitor performance to optimize efficiency.
Assist in minimizing operating expenses while maximizing productivity and efficiency in facility operations.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participate in training sessions to ensure adherence to quality standards.
About you
Must be available to work weekends
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Reliable transportation.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or processing environment preferred.
Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
