Join our Production Team!
Production team members rotate in various jobs to fill boxes with hot cheese while following all safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements. - 1st Shift: Monday through Thursday 6:00am - about 4:30pm
- 2nd Shift: Monday through Thursday 4:00pm - about 2:30am
- Fridays are scheduled based on business needs (Production works about 12-15 Fridays each year.)
- Starting pay rate for 1st shift is $19.00/hour and you're eligible for a $.50/hour increase after 90 days of employment. Second shift earns $2.00/hour shift premium.
- New hires are eligible for a $500 bonus after (3) months of employment and a second $500 bonus after (6) months of employment!
- We have openings for employees to learn skills and work in premium positions.
- If you are bi-lingual in Spanish and English, we pay a premium rate when you assist as an interpreter!
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Label, stack, and line corrugated boxes.
- Using a foot pedal, pour cheese into boxes and ensure box weights are accurate.
- Label bags or paperboard liners and lift loaves of cheese into cases.
- Disassemble and clean equipment and utensils used during the work shift.
- Any related tasks or duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities: - Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from the supervisor.
- Must have basic math skills and English verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Ability to work safety and follow safety requirements.
Education and Experience: - A minimum of six (6) months of related work experience or training is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves: continuous standing and lifting of 10lbs, occasional lifting of 25lbs, carrying of objects up to 50lbs., continuous standing for long periods and duration of the shift, and occasional walking.
Full-time employees are eligible for:
- Eight (8) paid holidays and two (2) floating holidays per year; employees are eligible for holiday pay on the first day of employment
