Production Worker I 2nd Shift Location: Altavista, VA 24517
Shift: 2nd Shift 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
Duration: 6 months contract, with possible extension
Pay: $14.82/hr
Position Summary:
Production Worker I supports manufacturing operations by inspecting, labeling, and packaging raw and finished products. Work is performed in a production environment under moderate supervision, with adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all site safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect raw and finished products for defects, damage, and conformance to specifications.
- Label and package raw and finished products according to established work instructions.
- Maintain production and quality records in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), as required.
- Work in a clean-room environment as assigned, following all gowning and contamination-control procedures.
- Follow standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and OSHA requirements on the production floor.
- Escalate quality issues, equipment concerns, or material shortages to the supervisor.
Requirements:- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, and lift/carry materials as required.
- Attention to detail for inspection, labeling, and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work under moderate supervision and follow written work instructions.
