We are hiring for Dayshift Production Workers on the Northside of Jacksonville
Associates perform repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-produce products. To work efficiently and safely, while maintaining target range on the following KPI’s: discrepancies, accidents, ballistic repairs, ballistic re-cuts, garment repairs, garment re-cuts, ballistic yield, desired ship dates, and inventory cycle counts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Places parts in specified relationship to each other
- Clips or otherwise fastens parts together
- Works at different work stations as production needs require
- Assemble products for stock as needed
- Assist in Quality Control in production
- Works on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line
- Verify sales order to assembled parts and/or finished product
- Adhere product logos and serial numbers on products properly
- Observe all safety regulations and procedures of the facility
- Helps in keeping production area clean and organized
- Participate in kaizen activities to achieve productivity and quality improvements
- Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
- General knowledge in the use of hand tools and shop operations
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must work well with others and have the ability to be a team member
- Ability to accept direction from a peer.
