Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler/Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the warehouse environment. Duties

Safely load and unload shipments using heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, adhering to OSHA safety standards.
Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for accurate order picking, inventory tracking, and shipping & receiving processes.
Perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining proper ergonomic practices to prevent injury.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision using pickers and other order picking tools.
Assist in the organization and maintenance of warehouse storage areas to optimize space utilization and workflow efficiency.
Load and unload materials from trucks or containers, ensuring proper handling of heavy equipment and materials.
Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes; perform basic mechanical troubleshooting when necessary.
Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate daily operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations like OSHA.
Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, damages, or discrepancies using warehouse management systems.
Skills

Proven experience in warehouse distribution, materials handling, or related logistics roles.
Proficiency in operating heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting on heavy equipment.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order processing.
Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and inventory control practices.
Construction or industrial experience is a plus; ability to handle heavy lifting safely is essential.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and inventory accuracy.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining safety protocols.
Knowledge of materials handling techniques used in construction or manufacturing settings enhances overall performance.
