    Location: Avon Lake, OH Job Type: Full-Time | First Shift 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

    Watteredge is seeking a motivated Junior Production Worker to join our Machine Shop team in Avon Lake, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced production environment. You'll support the manufacturing process by operating equipment, handling materials, and producing high-quality parts while working alongside an experienced team.

    What You'll Do As a Production Worker Junior, you will:

    • Produce quality parts while meeting established production goals and tolerances.
    • Load, unload, deburr, bend, and handle materials throughout the machine shop.
    • Read and follow work instructions, engineering drawings, blueprints, and production documentation.
    • Operate production equipment and hand tools, including grinders, polishers, and similar equipment.
    • Measure finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify quality and specifications.
    • Record production quantities and maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
    • Inspect equipment before use and perform routine adjustments and basic maintenance.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
    • Support additional production tasks as assigned.

    What We're Looking For

    • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (on-the-job training may be considered in place of formal education).
    • One to three years of manufacturing or production experience.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
    • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
    • Ability to read and understand written and verbal work instructions.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Willingness to learn production equipment and manufacturing processes.
    • Commitment to workplace safety and OSHA standards.

    Physical & Work Environment This position is performed in a manufacturing environment and requires:

    • Standing and walking throughout the shift.
    • Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, and reaching.
    • Lifting and moving materials up to 45 pounds without assistance.
    • Working around machinery, production equipment, noise, and varying temperatures.
