    Description

    Location: Avon Lake, OH Schedule: Full-Time | First Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

    Watteredge is seeking a Production Worker Junior to join our Pressweld team in Avon Lake, Ohio. This role is ideal for individuals with manufacturing experience who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in producing quality products, and thrive in a fast-paced production environment.

    As a Production Worker Junior, you will support the manufacturing process by working in multiple areas of the Pressweld department, including shearing, pressweld operations, grinding, and finishing. Success in this role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality.

    What You'll Do

    • Produce parts that meet established specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
    • Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
    • Operate production equipment and use hand tools such as grinders, polishers, and other finishing equipment.
    • Inspect and measure finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify quality and compliance.
    • Record production output and maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
    • Perform routine equipment inspections and make minor adjustments to ensure proper operation.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
    • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
    • Assist with additional production tasks as assigned.

    What We're Looking For

    • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (on-the-job training may be considered in place of educational requirements).
    • Two or more years of manufacturing or production experience.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
    • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
    • Ability to read and understand written and verbal work instructions.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Willingness to learn new equipment and production processes.
    • Commitment to producing high-quality work while meeting production goals.

    Physical Requirements & Work Environment

    • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
    • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and balancing.
    • Ability to lift and move up to 45 pounds without assistance.
    • Must be able to safely perform all essential job functions while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
