Professional Development Specialist
Location: Candidates must reside in the Southeast, Midwest, or Northwest regions of the United States.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time, fully remote position.
Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Professional Development Specialist to join our team. In this essential role, you will support the design, implementation, and administration of attorney development programs that strengthen our commitment to excellence and exceptional client service.
Reporting to the Director of Professional Development, this role will help coordinate attorney feedback and evaluation processes, support substantive legal training initiatives, and contribute to innovative programs that enhance attorney integration, engagement, and retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, implement, and support various attorney feedback and evaluation programs and processes, with a focus on technology and user communications.
- Provide support to the Professional Development team, the Evaluation Committee, and fpThrive, including scheduling meetings and events, drafting communications, gathering feedback, and assisting with ad hoc requests and projects.
- Assist in the development, planning, and execution of professional development programs and resources that enhance attorney growth, integration, retention, and engagement.
- Support the exit interview process and assist with compiling and delivering attrition data.
- Draft, edit, and update communications and materials, including web content, reports, and related documents.
- Research and recommend new methods and technologies to improve the collection and delivery of feedback and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with office and department leaders, marketing/business development, IT, recruiting, and others to implement programs and resolve operational issues.
- Assist with associate mentoring and sponsorship programs, including participant support, monitoring participation, and preparing reports and analysis.
- Handle administrative tasks such as processing invoices, preparing presentations and reports, and maintaining records.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in a professional services environment preferred.
- Previous experience with ViEval preferred.

- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of videoconferencing tools such as Zoom, Teams, and similar platforms.
Compensation
The hourly range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, location, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
