We have a GREAT opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida seeking an opportunity to exercise a strong expertise and passion in the land development space.

CPH's licensed Professional Engineer in Land Development will possess strong organizational, supervision, and technical skills to manage all facets of a project including business development, client management, project management, presentations, conceptual design, construction documents, and construction administration.

Duties Include:


  • Fulfilling requirements as Engineer of Record for the design, permitting, and construction administration of projects.
  • Preparation of accurate presentation, design, details, and construction documents.
  • Oversight of the project design team including engineers, designers, consultants, and clients.
  • Collaboration with other firm engineers, architects, disciplines, project managers, and business development teams.
  • Research, interpretation, and implementation of relevant codes and client requirements.
  • Development, implementation, and utilization of CPH and client standards and templates.
  • Preparation of specifications, review of shop drawings, and construction administration support as Engineer of Record.
  • Periodic travel to perform business development, project management, site investigations, and construction observation. Duty includes preparation or review of subsequent reports and exhibits.
  • Oversight and assistance with compiling construction plans from all disciplines and submittal to agencies having jurisdiction.
  • Oversight and mentoring project Engineers, Designers, and Technicians.
  • Review of documents prepared by others and implementation of project quality control.

Requirements:


  • B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a P.E. License in the state of Florida. The ability to obtain additional state licensure through reciprocity is a plus.
  • 5+ years of US experience in design and permitting public or private projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Thorough understanding of project process from concept through construction.
  • Ability to consistently exercise good independent judgment in the evaluation and determination of design solutions.
  • Stormwater management, water distribution, and sanitary sewer collection system design experience.
  • Effective in providing instruction, teaching, and mentoring positively and constructively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
  • Superior social, communication, written, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
  • Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, quality-conscious, reliable, and self-motivated.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Up to 25% travel.
