WWC has an immediate opening for a professional civil or environmental engineer with a BS or MS in Civil Engineering and an interest in civil/water resources, environmental, geotechnical and/or transportation engineering.This challenging position will lead you into the exciting fields of civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources engineering, geotechnical engineering and/or transportation engineering where you will work with our engineering teams in planning, geometric design, hydraulic and hydrologic design, water resources and irrigation projects, reservoir design and permitting, environmental permitting, geotechnical engineering, quantity schedules, bid packages, public interaction, preparation of plans and technical specifications, surveying, and construction engineering.Education and ExperienceB.S. or M.S. in Civil, Chemical, or Engineering from an accredited university degree program requiredLicensure as professional engineer (PE) required in the state of Montana and/or Wyoming.5-10 years of experience in Civil EngineeringEssential Duties and FunctionsPerform engineering design tasks as assigned by project managersMentor and lead associate engineers in completion of design tasks as assigned by project managersAssist project managers in and/or lead project development efforts, including marketing, proposal work, and regular client contactDevelop engineering design plansDevelop specifications, cost estimates, and bid packagesPerform regulatory permitting for projects including State, EPA, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and other agencies as requiredLead project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost, and schedulingUnderstand civil engineering concepts and apply those skills to everyday design assignmentsPerform construction administration duties including inspection, daily photos, reviewing contractor pay applications, quality assurance checks, preparation of daily field logs, and other duties as assigned by the project managerAssist with field surveying efforts to collect data for design projects and stake construction projectsUtilize AutoCAD Civil3D to perform engineering designCommunicate clearly (verbally and in writing)Provide quality control and supervision of design plans, specifications, and any other work done under a professional sealPerform all other administrative responsibilities and tasks assigned by managementQualitiesEmbodies WWC Engineering's core values (service, quality, and integrity)Commitment to best practicesEnsures the highest levels of quality are metResponsive and results oriented in service to clientsExperience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3DProficiency with Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to plan, schedule work, and complete work assignments within established budgets and timelinesStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAttention to detailDiligent and dependableAble to work on a wide variety of projectsCollaborate with others to capitalize on WWC's collective capabilitiesCommitted to continual learningOpen to discussion and dissentPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
