Impact Recruitment has partnered with a well-established engineering firm which was established in 2000 in Oklahoma City, OK, and expanded into Texas in 2016. They provide civil engineering design, Geotechnical engineering, land surveying, construction management, material testing, roadway design and planning consulting services for commercial, residential, state government, religious, recreational, educational, and municipal developments. 

They are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor to join our North Texas team. You would be joining an established, fast-growing full-service engineering/surveying firm that is looking to expand our survey department to accommodate our ever-growing list of clients.

Typical Responsibilities:

Prepare boundary, topographical and improvement surveys, prepare easement documents, provide support for engineering projects, review survey scope of services, fulfill survey work requests.

Prioritize projects and assign survey crews into the field as project work is requested.

Monitor survey personnel performance of activities, document completion, and provide guidance, coaching, motivation and or disciplinary actions, as necessary.

Maintain close communication with the Project Managers to report survey progress, give input on survey scope of work for projects, and find solutions on projects with difficult scopes of work.

Monitor overall survey tasks for compliance and accuracy. Identify changes in scope of work and monitor changes in targeted completion dates and/or budget.

Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently, efficiently, and accurately.

Skills Required:
  • 10+ years of survey experience
  • Current Texas RPLS License (Required)
  • Knowledge and experience with Easements, Rights of way surveys, Plats, ALTA’s, boundaries, property descriptions, topographic surveys, and project management
  • Detail oriented individual who can adapt to new technology, techniques and processes as industry/clients dictate.
  • Experience with both public and private sector work (EX: state, city, county, utility districts, and private land development)
  • Team oriented and able to work within client expectations and timelines.
  • May be required to complete safety or relative courses for project work.
  • Proficient in Carlson Survey, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
  • Microstation and Geopak knowledge a plus
  • Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License
  • Must be able to pass a full background check.

Schedule Expectations:  Full Time

40-hour work week with incidental overtime
