Professional Liability Attorney (Full-Time) ( Hybrid in NYC )
Location: Hybrid schedule in NYC
Salary: $135K - $160K Base Salary
Must Haves:- Admission to practice in New York is required
- Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience
- Experience in Professional Liability, Commercial Litigation, and/or Labor & Employment
- Experience handling legal malpractice, accounting malpractice, and other professional liability matters is highly preferred
My Client, a full-service National Law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas, is actively seeking an attorney to join their growing litigation team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Professional Liability, Commercial Litigation, and/or Labor & Employment and will thrive in a collaborative environment that offers meaningful responsibility, hands-on litigation experience, and long-term career growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Draft and respond to written discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Prepare motions, briefs, and other substantive pleadings
- Participate in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and oral arguments
- Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic case updates
- Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on complex matters
- Assist with all aspects of litigation strategy and case management
Qualifications
- Admission to practice in New York is required
- Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience
- Experience in Professional Liability, Commercial Litigation, and/or Labor & Employment preferred
- Experience handling legal malpractice, accounting malpractice, and other professional liability matters is highly preferred
- Excellent written, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Strong organizational and case management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic litigation environment
