    UPMC Presbyterian's Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR is hiring a full-time Staff Nurse to join our world-class surgical team! If you're looking to expand your clinical expertise with Level I trauma and transplant experience in one of the region's most advanced operating rooms - this is your next career move.

    Schedule Highlights:

    • Primarily daylight hours with one evening shift per week
    • High on-call need including weekdays, overnights, weekends, and holidays

    What You'll Do:

    • Apply the nursing process within the Relationship-Based Care model to deliver personalized, holistic care
    • Collaborate with the entire care team, using solid communication and critical thinking to support excellent patient outcomes
    • Serve as a mentor, educator, and resource to students, new staff, and fellow nurses
    • Participate in shared governance, quality improvement projects, and clinical innovation
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation that promotes safe, efficient care coordination
    • Scrub into cases as part of your role
    • Create healing environments by building strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
    • Demonstrate leadership through flexibility, accountability, and a passion for continuous learning

    Final title and salary are based on your experience and education, aligned with UPMC's nursing career ladder.

    • Mobility and visual manual dexterity. Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting and positioning of patients.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    • UPMC approved national certification preferred.

    • Basic Life Support (BLS OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR

    • Registered Nurse (RN OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP

    • Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
