Responsibilities:

Education & Experience Requirements:
BSN preferred
Minimum 4 years of RN experience required for Expert level
Master's degree (MSN or DNP may substitute for certification requirement (if applicable
Professional Development & Certification:
Annual completion of a professional contribution aligned with department, hospital, or system goals (approved by Unit Director
UPMC-approved nursing certification required within 1 year of hire/transfer and must be maintained
Certification requirement waived if holding an MSN or DNP
Must maintain a Solid/Strong/Good or higher on annual performance evaluation
Clinical Competencies:

Ability to assess and provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan, incorporating growth and development principles

Licensure, Certifications & Clearances:
Current RN license (PA or compact state license
Must obtain PA licensure within 60 days of residency change if working under compact license
BLS/CPR (AHA required within 30 days of hire (includes skills demonstration
Act 31, 33, 34, 73 clearances
