    Brown & Brown is seeking a Profit Center Leader to join our growing team in Portland, OR!

    In this role, the leader will drive a culture of success through building and leading teams who excel at new business growth, client retention, efficient processes and compliance while maintaining positive operating margins.

    How You Will Contribute:

    • Plan, develop, direct, and monitor short-term and long-term business goals and objectives of the profit center through oversight of department leadership.

    • Manage the overall profitability of the Profit Center through effective leadership.

    • Recruit, develop, and retain top leaders who will drive teammate engagement, build effective teams, and deliver results.

    • Lead the Profit Center leadership team in the development and execution of short-term and long-term plans and budgets based on broad corporate goals, strategic planning, acquisitions, and growth objectives.

    • Responsible to meet top line growth goals and budgeted operating margins.

    • Target and manage the development, promotion, sale and results of the organization's services and programs that meet customer and company goals.

    • Build a network of enterprise-wide peers to collaborate best practices and connect clients and prospects with company capabilities.

    • Establish, maintain, and cultivate carrier partnerships.

    • Responsible for the adherence of the organization's guidelines, policies, and applicable laws.

    • Position the Profit Center favorably within the local business community through participation with and/or support of appropriate local professional and community service organizations.

    • Set the vision and competencies for each position of the profit center; recruit top talent through networking and professional relationships; retain and develop leadership and direct reports.

    • Identify areas for continuous improvement and implement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

    • Actively participate in the selling and renewal of business.

    • Conduct regular townhall and leadership meetings that promote a positive culture of teamwork, mutual respect and foster a culture that instills "grit" in teammates.

    • Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the office.

    • Promote a commitment to achieve or exceed internal and external performance standards.

    • Pursue a program of personal and professional development.

    • Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education required for valid licensing.

    • All other duties as assigned.

    Licenses and Certifications:

    • Requisite insurance licensure per the state in which the profit center conducts business.

    Skills & Experience to be Successful:

    • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university (preferred)

    • 15+ years progressive leadership experience. (preferred)

    • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office products in addition to insurance industry software products.
