Position Summary
The Program Manager provides management for training programs for allied research personnel (ARP) at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Operating out of the education and workforce development arm of the Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (TRANSFORM), the Program Manager for ARP will report to the Associate Director of Workforce Development and Training Strategy. Together with the Director of Clinical Research Initiatives, the Program Manager will continue a long-standing partnership with the VP&S Dean's People Organization and Development (POD) team and institutional offices to identify, develop, demonstrate, disseminate, and continuously evaluate training for research staff.
The Program Manager operates with a high degree of independence and accountability, translating research priorities into actionable project plans, mitigating risk, coordinating resources, and ensuring alignment with institutional and regulatory requirements, as well as national best practices. The Program Manager should demonstrate strong peer leadership and collaborative project management skills, as the role requires coordinating across offices to develop new CUIMC trainings and update existing training offerings
