    Description

    The Program Administrator 3 (Grants Manager) plays an important part at the Commission. In this role, you will be responsible for:

    • Serving as liaison between Director and staff in transmitting policy decisions, directives and other confidential information, serves as a liaison between the Director and grantees, community programs, state department staff and the general public and represents the Director at meetings and conferences.
    • Serving as liaison between Director and grantees, community programs, private organizations, state department staff and the general public.
    • Assisting in direction, coordination and management of grant writing initiatives for Commission including working with other state departmental staff and collaborating partners to research and develop grants and assisting with development of proposed policies pertaining to Commission's coordination of initiatives regarding operational feasibility and statewide impact.
    • Overseeing grant programs, supervising grant program staff, operational matters and reviewing and analyzing data reports from the all grant programs to ensure accuracy of grantee reporting and development of summary reports to board and stakeholders and hosting data report review meetings.
    • Reviewing and making revisions to the Minority Health Grants Management System and the system manuals.

    5 years training or 5 years' experience in business administration, management or public administration.

    • OR completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management or public administration AND 36 months training or 36 months experience in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
    • OR completion of undergraduate core program for academic field of study commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on File AND 36 months training or 36 months experience in supervisory, administrative, managerial &/or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
    • OR 1 year experience as Program Administrator 2, 63123.
    • OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
