Program Aide – Adult Day Health Center

Do you enjoy working with older adults and helping people stay active, engaged, and independent? We're looking for a compassionate, energetic Program Aide to join our Adult Day Health team.
This is a hands on role where no two days are the same. You'll build meaningful relationships with participants, lead and assist with activities, support daily care needs, and help create a safe, welcoming environment where our members can thrive.
Whether you're an experienced CNA or someone with a passion for working with seniors, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Assist participants with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility, toileting, grooming, and mealtime support.
- Engage participants in meaningful activities such as games, crafts, music, exercise, discussion groups, gardening, celebrations, and community outings.
- Help plan and organize fun, creative, and therapeutic activities that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and independence.
- Build positive relationships with participants and encourage engagement throughout the day.
- Observe participants for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to the nursing team.
- Obtain and document vital signs as assigned.
- Assist the nursing staff with delegated care and participant support.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
- Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Treat every participant with dignity, respect, patience, and compassion.
- Assist with light housekeeping and program set up and clean up.
- Transport participants to appointments, outings, or between locations if assigned (for qualified drivers).
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Enjoys working with older adults and making a positive impact.
- Has a warm, patient, and compassionate personality.
- Is dependable, reliable, and works well as part of a team.
- Is energetic, creative, and enjoys leading group activities.
- Has experience with dementia, memory care, or senior care (preferred but not required).
- Can assist participants with personal care and mobility.
- Communicates effectively with participants, families, and coworkers.
- Is organized and able to multitask in a fast paced environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- CNA certification is welcomed but not required.
- Experience in adult day health, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, home care, recreation, activities, or healthcare is preferred.
- New graduates, healthcare students, and individuals with caregiving experience are encouraged to apply.
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain after hire).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is a plus.
