    Job Description

    HunaTek is seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Program Analyst I to provide support on our Department of State contract with the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, Office of Caribbean Affairs. This role requires a dynamic individual with expertise in program analysis, office management, compliance auditing, and technical writing, combined with strong analytical and organizational skills. The successful candidate will support program and project initiatives by providing subject matter expertise, managing office operations, ensuring compliance, and contributing to technical documentation and systems analysis. This position is located in Washington, DC and contingent upon contract award.
     
    Key Responsibilities
    • Subject Matter Expert (Technical): Provide knowledge and expertise in specific subject areas or technical domains to support program execution. Define procedures and standards, recommend improvements, develop performance objectives, and identify inconsistencies or flaws to enhance decision-making.
    • Office Management: Manage and organize office operations including word processing, bookkeeping, payroll preparation, correspondence flow, filing, and supply requisition. Coordinate activities of clerical staff, evaluate office productivity, update procedures, and establish uniform correspondence and records management practices.
    • Auditor Compliance: Conduct internal and external compliance audits to ensure adherence to federal and state laws, contractual terms, and company policies. Identify financial risks and recommend improvements to internal controls to mitigate loss.
    • Technical Writing: Prepare and update technical and administrative documents such as reports, manuals, proposals, and instruction guides. Collaborate with supervisors to acquire assignments and ensure accuracy and clarity of materials.
    • Systems Analysis: Analyze user requirements and existing procedures to improve or automate business processes through technology solutions. Assist in planning and designing new systems or enhancing current systems to maximize organizational benefits.
    • Project Analysis Support: Assist project leaders by analyzing project plans, identifying risks, and ensuring alignment with objectives. Support project processes to maintain forward progress and address potential issues impacting service quality or risk management.
     
    Required Skills and Qualifications
    • Demonstrated expertise as a Subject Matter Expert in a technical or business area relevant to program analysis.
    • Experience managing office operations and coordinating clerical activities to improve workflow efficiency.
    • Knowledge of compliance auditing processes, including risk identification and internal control recommendations.
    • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate documentation.
    • Proficiency in systems analysis, including evaluating user requirements and recommending technology solutions.
    • Ability to analyze project plans, identify risks, and support project management activities.
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Secret clearance
     
    Preferred Experience
    • Experience working in government contracting or related program management environments.
    • Familiarity with federal and state regulatory compliance requirements.
    • Proficiency with office productivity software and database management tools.
    • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
