    The Analyst II – Technical Writer/Editor will provide on-site support to the Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Nuclear-Armed Sea-Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) Program. This position is responsible for developing, editing, formatting, and managing technical documentation in accordance with established Department of the Navy directives, standards, and guidance.

    What You'll Do

    • Edit and format technical documents using established Microsoft Word templates and style standards.
    • Create, revise, and maintain Ordnance Documents (ODs), Strategic Systems Programs Instructions (SSPINSTs), meeting minutes, memoranda, formal correspondence, and other program documentation.
    • Develop and maintain action item tracking spreadsheets and master comment resolution matrices using Microsoft Excel.
    • Coordinate technical document reviews and incorporate stakeholder comments into final products.
    • Ensure documentation complies with Department of the Navy policies, directives, and formatting requirements.
    • Support documentation process improvements and configuration management activities, as required.

    What You Bring to the Table

    • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, English, Communications, or a related field; or a minimum of five (5) years of military experience in a technical field.
    • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience supporting one or more engineering disciplines (e.g., systems engineering, software engineering, or related technical fields).
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe Acrobat or Foxit PhantomPDF and MS Teams.
    • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment while managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
    • Active Secret DoD security clearance.

    Bonus Points

    • Three (3) or more years of Department of the Navy technical writing experience supporting engineering or acquisition programs.
    • Familiarity with Department of the Navy security policies, documentation standards, and administrative procedures.
    • Experience supporting Navy acquisition, strategic weapons, or defense systems programs is highly desirable.
