Job Summary

This position is located at Headquarters, Quantico, VA. Candidates selected for this position will serve as a Development and Outreach Program Manager, NF4.

Major Duties

Serves as the Development and Outreach Program Manager for Warrior Athlete Readiness and Resilience (WARR)/Semper Fit (SF), Marine and Family Division, Manpower and Reserve Affairs, Headquarters Marine Corps. This position supports the Marine Corps Total Fitness (MCTF) efforts to increase awareness and support for all programs, services, and capabilities. This position will act as a sponsorship coordinator and identify resourcing and funding opportunities outside the existing APF budget and NAF resources for all WARR/SF programs and initiatives. Identifies, leads, and carries out all grant opportunities for the WARR/SF branch in coordination with Business & Support Services (MR). Produces social media content and strategies for WARR/SF and coordinates with the Communications Strategy Branch for online publication. Organizes and produces all media and information efforts and products for All-Marine Sports, Elite Warrior Athlete, and WARR/SF programs. Provides additional support for WARR, All-Marine Sports (AMS), and Elite Warrior Athlete programming as assigned. Advise the Assistant Branch Head, Section Heads, and Branch Head, and higher headquarters staff using research and data analysis. The Development, Resource, and Outreach Program Manager for WARR/SF branch will work with an interdisciplinary team to refine and build strategies that modernize program delivery, resource management, and infrastructure design.

COMMERCIAL SPONSORSHIP, RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT, FUNDRAISING, PROMOTIONAL SUPPORT

Effectively collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders, including institutional development entities and interdisciplinary professionals, to identify and cultivate resources such as commercial sponsorships and fundraising opportunities in partnership with MR. Proactively explores and secures new funding streams and revenue sources to enhance and sustain selected programs.

COOPERATIVE EFFORTS AND GRANT FUNDING

Proactively identifies and secures grant funding through comprehensive coordination, strategic writing, and successful application development. Operates within large, multifaceted organizations, fostering collaboration across Department of Defense (DoD) agencies to drive impactful outcomes.

OUTREACH, SPORTS INFORMATION, & SOCIAL MEDIA

Promotes and supports WARR/SF related activities. Exercise knowledge and skills related to sports information, marketing, and outreach. Works with AMS staff, coaches, and athletes, along with WARR/SF team to leverage social media platforms, develop press releases, and disseminate appropriately and effectively to media outlets, including local home press and news outlets of participating Marines via Marine and Family Programs Communication Strategy Branch. Promotes branch activities and disseminate information through social media.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

Develops and executes position-specific policies related to grant funding and outreach. Ensures real-time communication capabilities for activities, events, and competitions occurring in remote or isolated locations to enable prompt reporting and result sharing, supporting and elevating Marine Corps initiatives.

SYSTEMS DYNAMICS AND ANALYSIS

Actively engages in cross-functional working groups alongside Marine Corps and Department of Defense agencies to facilitate strategic collaboration and mission alignment.

Collects and interprets quantitative and data to produce advanced analytics and informative infographics that guide program and platform selection, deployment, and modernization efforts. Participates in comprehensive program reviews and leverages government systems and software platforms to input, analyze, and synthesize data for reporting and presentation purposes. Oversee the development, maintenance, and evaluation of infographics, ensuring effective information sharing in alignment with established guidance and strategic objectives

This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. May travel to complete work assignments. May work a fluctuating work schedule and travel to support other programs such as All Marine Sports outside of the typical work week and work hours. Performs other related duties assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor¿s degree in Sports Marketing, Sports Management, Outreach Sports Administration, Human Performance, Physical Education (Master preferred) in a related field appropriate of degrees/fields of study that support the duties of the position are And five years of experience that demonstrates the experience, knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of the WARR/SF, All Marine Sports, and Marine Corps Total Fitness is preferred. Leadership and management experience with or at Marine Corps Installation WARR/SF programs preferred. Ability to learn and comply with all laws, regulations, and policies related to sponsorship, advertising, funding, and budgeting applicable to the Department of Defense is required. Proficient use of social media platforms to promote, market, and support events, activities, products, and programs. Experience demonstrates knowledge in working with media organizations (electronic, paper, television) to report, promote, market, broadcast, and support events, programs, and activities. Experience working in and leading health, wellness, prevention, performance, and quality of life programs for large institutions. Demonstrates ability to develop and manage funding strategies, securing critical resources for program expansion and innovation. Experience working with and in institutional executive leadership teams to develop media campaigns. Skilled public speaker in delivering high impacts presentations to large groups, including stakeholders, community members and professional peers. College and/or professional athletic playing experience preferred.
