    Description

    Program Analyst (Performance)

    The Program Analyst (Performance) contributes to the agency's strategic planning, performance management, and the digital transformation of how the Peace Corps conducts its business. Major duties fall into three areas:

    Data Analysis, Reporting & Visualization

    Gathers, transforms, and analyzes large or complex datasets to produce clear, decision-ready insights, using AI-assisted tools to accelerate data transformation (e.g., writing and refining queries) while owning the analysis and interpretation.

    • Builds reports, dashboards, and visualizations using business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) so leaders and staff have ready access to reliable data
    • Responds to data and analysis requests from internal staff, leadership, and the public, tailoring findings to the audience.
    • Automates recurring data collection, analysis, and reporting to improve speed and accuracy.
    Enabling Digital Transformation Across the Agency

    Partners with offices across the agency and works closely with the Office of Information Systems (OIS) to ensure the Office of Planning and Performance (OPP) and agency staff have the data, tools, and workflows they need to do their jobs well.

    • Identifies opportunities to adopt new tools and better ways of working, and helps colleagues learn and adopt them.
    • Contributes to responsible data governance and data-sharing practices in coordination with the analyst who leads that work, ensuring efforts connect to the broader transformation agenda.
    Strategic & Performance Planning

    Supports development, review, and reporting for agency-wide strategic and performance products, including the Annual Performance Plan, Annual Performance Report, and quarterly performance reviews, consistent with OMB and Congressional requirements and timelines.

    • Helps interpret federal performance management law, policy, and practice and translate it into practical guidance for agency leaders and goal leads.
    • Supports the design of accountability and strategic-alignment systems that help the agency execute on its priorities.
