About the Role: As a Program Assistant, you'll work one-on-one to help students with autism, developmental disabilities, and behavioral health needs succeed in the classroom. This role is ideal for compassionate, energetic individuals interested in education, psychology, social work, behavioral health, or human services.

Location: Baltimore, MD
Schedule: Full-Time; Monday through Friday, 8:15 am - 2:45 pm

Compensation: $17.51/hour

What You'll Do

• Support students one-on-one and in small groups under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Assist with implementing IEPs, Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), sensory supports, and medical protocols.
• Use positive behavior support strategies and approved intervention techniques when needed.
• Support students with daily living skills, including feeding, toileting, hygiene, and mobility assistance.
• Collect student data and maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist with vocational, community-based, and classroom learning activities.
• Help create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, clinicians, families, and support staff to help students reach their goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree, 45 college credits, or ParaPro certification
  • Experience in special education, behavioral health, ABA, human services, or working with individuals with disabilities 
• Experience working with children or adolescents in any capacity, including:
  • Childcare, Daycare, Teaching or educational settings, coaching or sports programs, summer camps, youth programs, Behavioral health or human services, mentoring or volunteer work with youth
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while remaining a part of a team
• Commitment to helping students achieve their goals

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children, youth, or young adults
