Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a Program Assistant to support and assist the Program Supervisor and Program Coordinator in maintaining the overall operations of the Pathways to Opportunity program. The Program Assistant will ensure physical program space meets regulatory standards, maintains organization, and has necessary supplies for participants and staff. The Program Assistant will manage the program front desk, participant attendance, and visitors/volunteer entering the space. The Program Assistant will perform all of the responsibilities and duties of the Program Instructors as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains an accurate awareness and good working knowledge of the Developmental Disabilities Medicaid Waiver, Qlarant Standards, the Agency for Persons with Disabilities, applicable Florida Statues, AHCA, and CARF Standards.
- Complete daily attendance tasks and report attendance issues to Program Supervisor.
- Assist Program Coordinator with data collection and required reports as assigned.
- Back up for incident report notifications from program staff, submit reports timely to required team members, and track, file and report internally by specified timeframes.
- Assist in developing and coordinating quarterly calendars, calendar assessment, class satisfaction surveys, class outlines and curriculum.
- Monitor completion of case notes.
- Complete monthly program checks (First Aid, Accessibility, drills, etc.) and order/restock necessary program supplies.
- Assist with onboarding of new participants.
- General filing and scanning as assigned.
- Provide direct service coverage to ensure seamless operation of the program as needed.
- Maintain order/organization of program site/van and communicate safety issues/concerns.
- Complete and maintain required trainings under the Developmental Disabilities Medicaid Waiver Handbook and Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Inc. within required timeframe.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire.
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, Infection Control, and HIV/AIDS or able to be trained.
- Valid Florida Driver's license, Florida car registration and proof of car insurance is required.
- Able to lift at least 50lbs.
