DESCRIPTION:

The Nassau BOCES Department of Curriculum & Instruction is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the Center for Online Learning (COL) program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating the development, scheduling, and implementation of online courses and professional learning opportunities

  • Overseeing enrollment, course configurations/updates, and all other technical needs of the Center for Online Learning for students and for online adult professional learning opportunities including the design and maintenance of all online learning systems, platforms, and resources

  • Supporting the delivery of professional development by modeling effective online instructional practices and digital tool integration

  • Maintaining departmental documentation and internal workflows using Microsoft 365 tools

  • Assisting with internal and external communication, ensuring timely and accurate responses to school districts and vendors

  • Collaborating with team members to streamline processes, improve service delivery, and enhance the overall effectiveness of COL initiatives

  • Preparing reports, tracking participation data, and supporting fiscal documentation under the guidance of Supervisor II of the COL

  • Communicating with school district administrators, teachers, and staff to support instructional technology integration and special projects

  • Acting as the lead agent for the Nassau BOCES regional drone program

REQUIREMENTS:

  • New York State Education Department Certification: School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA)
  • Three or more years of teaching and/or administrative experience
  • Excellent technological skills, including the ability to create, integrate, and maintain all technology systems within the COL including but not limited to learning management systems, student information systems, Zoom licensing, and multi-media applications
  • Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with an emphasis on creating and integrating Excel workbooks

SALARY: As per labor contract
