Position Summary

The Program Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating both the day-to-day and long-term operational and administrative activities of the program. This role interfaces with internal and external constituencies regarding program development, implementation, and operational matters. This position handles administrative tasks, such as maintaining program documentation, coordinating meetings, and communicating with participants. The Program Coordinator evaluates program effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvement.

Duties & Responsibilities

•Supervises staff or student employees, which includes prioritizing, and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy, and safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.

•Provides comprehensive administrative support in developing, implementing, and marketing program functions.

•Acts as the primary liaison between students, faculty, staff, other departments, and external stakeholders to address day-to-day programmatic, operational, and administrative concerns.

•Facilitates seminars, meetings, special projects, and problem resolution initiatives to ensure effective program delivery.

•Coordinates the activities of support staff, consultants, faculty, and volunteers involved in implementing and administering program objectives.

•Monitors and manages program revenues and expenses, including participating in the development of funding proposals.

•Implements and coordinates programming provided by third-party training providers.

•Develops, modifies, and produces promotional and educational materials, including training manuals, presentations, newsletters, and brochures.

•Oversees the collection, compilation, and analysis of program activity data, preparing comprehensive statistical and narrative reports and evaluations.

•Delegates or performs clerical and administrative support tasks, including correspondence, purchasing documents, reports, and publications.

•Handles purchases, processes invoices, and maintains records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

•Assists in grant and proposal writing efforts as needed, contributing to fundraising activities as required.

•Conducts specialized programmatic activities to support program objectives and protocols effectively.

•Performs additional duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success of the program.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience or Associate's degree and four (4) years experience
  • A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements of the position

Preferred qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Adaptable and willing to learn and grow in a multi-faceted environment

  • Experience with multiple technology platforms

  • Experience with financial processes

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred

Work Location is CNM Ingenuity, Workforce Training Center (WTC).

Typical work schedule is M-F, 8-5.

Weekend and evening work may be required.
